Rockabella

What a difference a few days can make. I took these photos only a few days after my last post and look at the difference in my demeanor. Hubby was able to adjust my back and I instantly was back to my normal self.

I bought this shirt a few months back on sale at Le Bomb Shop. I had seen some other bloggers wearing them and I thought I'd try one out. It is a juniors cut so it doesn't fit me as well as I would like (seamstress pickiness) and I feel it would look better in a solid color but it was comfy and I felt like a hot momma in it. This top will get lots of of wear this summer but mostly with skirts.

This week is body positive week.

Step Away from the Mean Girls…
…and say bye-bye to feeling bad about your looks.
Are you ready to stop colluding with a culture that makes so many of us feel physically inadequate? Say goodbye to your inner critic, and take this pledge to be kinder to yourself and others.

This is a call to arms. A call to be gentle, to be forgiving, to be generous with yourself. The next time you look into the mirror, try to let go of the story line that says you're too fat or too sallow, too ashy or too old, your eyes are too small or your nose too big; just look into the mirror and see your face. When the criticism drops away, what you will see then is just you, without judgment, and that is the first step toward transforming your experience of the world.”

I recently found these adorable strawberry earrings at my favorite haunt, The Other Side Vintage. They are hand painted tooled leather so they are super lightweight.
This whole week has been on and off thunderstorms. One minute it will be sunny and the next it will be crazy lightning, oh Florida. I was able to walk Monday and I got 1.5 in on Tuesday but I took today off because when I went to bed the chance of storms were high in the morning but of course after I slept in I found out that the storms now weren't supposed to hit till afternoon. I used my morning instead to do some shopping at Joann's. I wandered around for an hour looking at fabrics but nothing really caught my eye, although I have a feeling I will go back and pick up a few. I picked up some elastic to finish some shorty pajamas and on my way out I noticed that Butterick patterns were on sale for $1.99. I immediately shot over to the pattern books and wrote down a list of pattern numbers to see if they were in stock. To my surprise all that I picked out were in stock (that almost never happens) so I got 9 patterns for $18 with a grand total savings of $150. Most patterns I got were from the historical line but I did get a few normal clothing ones too.
