The weather has finally cooled off, it just took a few days of heavy rain to bring it. Yesterday rained almost all day so I didn't get to get out the house. Today I got to walk, it was cool and foggy even at 9:30 in the morning. Humidity at 96 percent in 56 degrees is so much more tolerable than 90 percent at 80 degrees. I even stopped by the grocery store on the way home for milk and lettuce.
I've had a hard time figuring out what to do for Christmas gifts this year, we are paying off a big car repair bill as well as several other big expenses and money is quite tight. I normally would crochet gifts but I am super low on yarn and I just haven't seen any patterns that have spoken to me. Hubby was sweet and told me to order some yarn since I was so low, the Veteran's Day sale at JoAnn's was great timing, I got $3 off each pound skein and free shipping.
I took trip to the craft store today since I got an idea for some gifts and I didn't have the supplies needed. Luckily I got out of there for just under $20. (I really think they should hand out medals for spending under $20)
I think I have finally made friends with this dress, I guess it is no longer "the dress of doom".
Headband- Quarter Moon Imports
Brooch- Amy Rose Studios
Dress- made by me
Tights- We Love Colors
The lipstick I'm wearing is from ColourPop, a friend gave it to me since it was a little to orange for her and I wear them well. I'll say I am highly impressed with the brand, especially for the price. It has a pleasant scent and wears well without drying out my lips. This shade is called Frida, on the website it is described as a mid tone nude pink but both my friend and I find it wears more salmon on our pale skin.
Wish me luck on my new gift project.
