This past week was just a wash for me. I only left the house a few times and both times I didn't even feel like wearing anything other than leggings and t-shirts. Last night I kicked myself in the butt and made myself get back in the swing of things . Today I got up on time, walked 3.7 miles, got dressed up, took photos, and went to my mom's house to iron and start cutting out my new Medieval costumes.

I baked some lovely stuff this past week. For movie night at a friend's house I made vegan cupcakes and beer bread and for dinner Saturday night (to feed us and my mother in law) I made 2 large spinach pizzas and a vegan chocolate cake complete with coconut milk ganashe. I cook every night but I don't bake as often as I like. I'll tell you, the vegan cupcakes/cake really kept my spirits up lately. Here is the recipe I used for the cake- Eggless Chocolate Cake. Hubby and I both agree the cake is better refrigerated than it is fresh made, don't know why.
It doesn't really feel like autumn here yet but this morning gave it a good try. When I walked just after 9am it was still in the 60s but the day quickly warmed up to 80 or so. Tights were really an overkill but I was too lazy to shave my legs last night, LOL. I also forgot to put on a real bra when I got dressed, I didn't realize till I got to my parent's house I was still wearing my sweaty work out bra, oh Monday.

Lips: ModelCo Ultra Long Lasting Lipstick in Smitten
Eye Shadow: e.l.f. Baked Eyeshadow in Burnt Plum
Liner: Starlooks Luxe Longwear Eyeliner Pen
Blush: e.l.f.Blush Palette in Light

I recently dumped my Ipsy subscription and joined Birchbox. This lipstick was a nice surprise in my first box. It is a good red, darker than most of my reds and very flattering. I also am trying out the e.l.f Play Beautifully box, it comes every other month and is $20 per box. I always have liked e.l.f. products so I thought I'd give it a chance, I loved my first box. I like that they pick neutral toned products that almost everyone can use so you aren't left with tons of lotions/face washes and ugly things you won't use. You wouldn't believe how excited I get about getting things in the mail, it's like birthday gifts every month.
Normally I wouldn't do orange hair with my natural black around October but no one has asked me if I did it for Halloween yet, I'm sure it's coming though.
This stunning spider brooch was a gift from my mom a few years back. We spotted it in a antique shop but it was too rich for my blood so I had to pass it by. To my surprise Mom bought it for me for my birthday. I think this is the first time I have worn it on a cardigan, it normally lives on my fedora (which I wear almost everyday in the fall and winter). My earrings are cute vintage Avon, I love Avon novelty jewelry.

While I was cooped up this week I started work on my yearly ornaments for friends and family.
I made these all from scrap yarn. Aren't they adorable? I'll let you in on a little secret, half of them have glow in the dark eyes! Pattern from Hopscotch Lane. I used an F hook rather than H for a tighter finished product.
