Ah, first time back eating lunch out with Hubby and the guys. I haven't gotten out of the house much since I was down with the ick. Last week I still was weak and sore so my life is only really getting going again this week. I have been able to do several 3 mile days again and as soon as it cools off a little I hope to get back up to 5 mile days. When I headed out for a walk today it started sprinkling on me, luckily the clouds thinned and the sun was out by the time I got back home.
I'm excited about hanging out with my mom tomorrow, we haven't gotten to do anything while I was sick. I kind of want to explore our favorite vintage/junkshop, they have been posting some cool items they have gotten in recently. I savor my "Mommy Time", she truly is my best friend.
This weekend should be pretty tame, no local sports to attend so hopefully we can get the rest of the work done on the house that we were unable to while sick. My cleaning and laundry is way behind and Hubby has been repainting the eaves on the house. This summer was so hot and rainy we hadn't done much maintenance on the house or yard. We had lots of climbing ivy crawl up the house and now that we removed it the house could use a fresh coat of paint. Hubby and I are tentatively thinking of painting it purple, I love the yellow but...PURPLE!
Since it is Fall and Halloween is fast approaching I've been pulling out more of my spooky prints. While I have no problem wearing spiderwebs and witches all year some people look at it as rather odd.
This witch print skirt is one of my favorite things in my wardrobe, I should have paired it with my BAIT heels sooner, I love them with it.
I tried tucking a loose sweater into an elastic banded skirt so it got a little bulky, I should have skipped the belt but I loved the pop of red to tie everything together.
Ghost brooch: vintage, found in box of jewelry scraps
Skirt: Made by me
Shoes: BAIT, bought scondhand
I don't think this sweater has ever appeared on the blog. It is one of my favorite tops and I wear it often, usually with jeans though. It is really one piece with the sleeves and collar sewn on as accents which is super handy.
