I was a sore after my walk yesterday so I took a rest day today. I woke up early but instead of walking I pampered myself by doing nice hair and make-up.
I have always been a long hair person (usually down to the base of my spine) but having short hair the past couple of years has allowed me to learn to style it. I am in love with wet sets now, I enjoy the days I get to do them. It takes a little work to brush them out when styling but it adds a perfect retro flair to any outfit. When I had long hair I would just wear it in a braid down my back or in a ballet bun, very boring.
I made this skirt a month or so back and planned to debut it on the blog last camping trip but we had to cancel our trip due to weather and sickness. I got the fabric for an amazing $2.50 a yard. Looking at the photos today I think I am going to take out the elastic band and add solid colored separate band so you can see the top camping stripe better and to add a little length.
I went back to the greenway today to take these pictures. So even though I skipped my 5k morning walk I got in about a mile while carrying a tripod and heavy camera.
