I've had a bad rash of bad luck with sewing lately, luckily I think I am finally out of the rut. I just finished this adorable dress and I am very happy with the outcome. I used McCall's 6955, the same pattern as my mint dress, only I used the circle skirt option. This was my first time doing a skirt on the bias all by myself, the last time I did one my mom was there to guide me though it. My mom has a broken finger right now and a big over-sized cast so she can't sew.
The fabric is vintage (or at least a few years old) that I picked up at a thrift shop for $1. It is a soft apparel fabric, you can tell in that amazing drape. The print is French novels, the most noticeable being one from Jules Vern.

This is the second time I have worn my new to me Poetic Licence shoes. I am so happy I found this pair in my size on eBay for a decent price. They were pre-owned but barely worn and even came with the box. Now I need to track down a pair of the purple ones.

Our garden is growing with leaps and bounds. We got our first fruit today, three little yellow cherry tomatoes.
Aren't they beautiful?
Here are some more that will be ripe in not too long.
My phone started freaking out recently and won't push any notifications. It has always had a problem on wifi not pushing notifications but now it won't push them at all. I won't know for hours if I have e-mail and Instagram won't tell me till I launch the app. I don't know why it changed because I have not changed any settings. I hope I can get it sorted out soon before I throw it against the wall. I'm thinking it might be a local network problem so I hope they fix it soon!
