The past few weeks have been a whirlwind. Recovering from the flu and a sinus infection (at the same time), mentally recovering from a string of shootings in town (one claiming the life of an officer and one leaving a young man paralyzed), making Christmas gifts, sports, Thanksgiving, sports, and more sports. I am only just getting the house back in shape after being sick. I didn't know sick people could produce so much laundry, I have washed and folded at least three loads this week and I still have one basket left to put away. I don't even want to think about all the ironing I need to do.

Where to start? I guess I'll start with volleyball. This week were the last two volleyball games of the normal season, Wednesday and Friday. Our amazing girls won both games and moved up in the rankings. One of the setters on the team uses the Star Wars theme as her serve music since her last name is Luke, so on the last game we (and some friends) had some fun. I wore my hair in Leia buns, Hubby was an ewok, and light saber battles took place. I wish I had been able to find my Darth Maul double saber but it is hiding somewhere in my parent's house.
Tallahassee will be hosing some regional matches for the playoffs this week. I can't wait.

Thursday of course was Thanksgiving. We have a big vegetarian feast every year at my in-law's house. My parents join us as well as my bother-in-law and his two lovely children. I am very thankful to have such a lovely family and in-laws that are so wonderful.

Saturday was our football team's big rivalry game, the Florida Gators. We were lucky enough to get to go to the president of the univerity's house pre-game for a tailgate party. I didn't think I would be re-mixing this dress just yet on the blog but I think I did it up pretty well.
